After creating quite a buzz at the Notodden Blues Festival in Norway, Dowchild hits the Capital to perform as part of a great line up that includes Sass Jordan and Kim Mitchell at the Ottawa Civic Centre on September 25, 2010 at 8 Pm.

The artists are performing a free concert presented by CUPE called "Rock For Public Service", a fundraiser for the Ottawa Boys & Girls Club Donations can be made in person at the show.

The Dog's Nest Festival has moved to Grand Bend, ON at the Grand Bend Motorplex on August 12 - 14, 2010.

Downchild will perform on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 8:30 Pm alongside Jim Belushi & The Sacred Hearts. Other acts include Ronnie Hawkins & The Hawks, Glass Tiger and Paul Rodgers and Bad Company

Downchild is thrilled to announce that Juno Award winning guitarist COLIN JAMES will perform with the band as a special guest at the Notodden Blues Festival in Norway on August 5 & 6, 2010.

Both Downchild and Colin had a blast when James appeared with the band on their sold out 40th Anniversary show at Massey Hall and decided to take the party to Norway!

James appears as a speclal guest on Downchild's latest Cd "I Need A Hat" and is touring in support of his own new Cd "Rooftops and Satellites."

Donnie "Mr. Downchild" Walsh, the leader and founder of the Downchild Blues Band will be inducted in the the Canadian Blues Museum and Hall of Fame on Sunday, June 20, 2010 in Windsor, ON.

The induction ceremony will take place at Place Concorde (7515 Forest Glade) and will include a short performance by "Mr. Downchild" at 7:15 Pm. The induction speach by counciller Percy Hatfield will follow at 9:15 Pm.
